Calling all bakers! Put your best apple recipe to the test in the 2026 Oak Harbor Apple Festival Baking Contest on Friday, October 9! Categories include Apple Pie, Apple Recipes, Bread or Cake, a Junior Division for ages 18 and younger, and special Patriotic Apple-Decorated Dessert categories for both home and professional bakers. There is no entry fee, but all entries must be preregistered by Monday, October 5. Entries should feature apples as a main ingredient, include a written recipe and be delivered on a disposable plate or pan to the Oak Harbor Municipal Building between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Winners will be announced following judging, with trophies presented during Saturday morning’s Opening Ceremonies. After judging, the baked goods will be available for purchase, with all proceeds benefiting future Apple Festivals!
